Only reason why I say this may be a fake is because I'll check up on the Neumayer Station photos and have neever seen this; and when I do, it is usually looking like a pale moon and it's only in a screen shot or two (since pics are taken every ten minutes) and doesn't make it across the arctic sky. Guessing it was probably lens blur or snow caught in the lens.
*Although, if you look deep enough, there are some strange anamolies much more convicing from the Antarctic Station, most commonly found on youtube :0 Cause they will show the full day and you can see it cross the sky, very cool.

Ah. Huffington Post was the source, so I'd be disappointed if they posted a fake.

I hope it is real, that'd be awesome. I've just seen so many of these that look too fake to be true that it's hard for me to beleive the ones from this station photo because of the colouring. Just my opinion though, so who knows.
