My opinion? I think that aliens are probably very diverse. Some friendly, some not. Humanoid, octopus-like, plant-based, slime-based, phantom-like, atom-sized, or planet-sized. As for the UFOs, I think they don't "move" in the traditional sense. I think they teleport directly from Planet X to Earth. As for WHY they'd go to Earth of all things, maybe something common here is rare in space. Maybe there are no trees on other planets, and the aliens want to plant them there. Maybe they haven't seen humans before. Maybe they want to make contact with Earth. Maybe they just vacation here, idk.

I'd probably ask how they build such advanced tech. Than, idk, maybe I'd give them movie posters, books, video games, etc. to teach them about Earth. If it was slime-life, I'd scream and run (ever heard of The Blob?).
