Description Ribbonfish are a type of aquatic radial organism that can be found in most Epimethian waters. They have an internal ribbing support similar to cuttlefish of Earth. Freshwater species of Ribbonfish come in two varieties: herbivorous tentacle-ribbons and carnivorous flower-ribbons.

these give me a sort of tadpole-ish impression, as if they were saying "this is not even my final form!" But if they are supposed to be small, it doesn't matter, but I think they look too simple for something more substantial in size, like a carp or pike for example, but as long as you have other bigger aquatic animals in mind, i can only compliment on how cool these little critters look.

Yeah, the largest ribbonfish only get to be about the size of a large goldfish, they're very close to the bottom of their respective food chains. They are primarily preyed upon by the bilaterally symmetrical ichthiids that I will be adding as soon as I'm done with the radials.

Thanks, but the credit must go to Mother Nature for that one. I admit that it's not very original.

are you kidding? I absolutely love it! In fact I love the "natural" look of it! but the arrangement of the fins is totally original! never seen anything like this before!
