Description
Though I so enjoy making symmetrical images; this time I have opt for it simply through laziness... I SO did NOT want to draw all those tiny strings over again regardless the possible impressiveness a perspective asymmetric distortion would have introduced...

The title of the work is however another story and would mean more to a ballerina than an average Joe/Jane...
It has always fascinated me to how much effort goes into the production of a well balanced, firmly crafted pointé shoe. And ballerina's go through a lot of work to deconstruct the hard work into a slashed, sanded, beaten, darned and elasticated Frankenstein of the shoe it once used to be to simply improve the shoe's functionality.
How so counterproductive when it may have been better to set mutual grounds in the initial production? (Though I DO acknowledge that for some: It IS actually a ceremonial process in preparing for class/rehearsal).

I would have to thank the beautiful aspiring Ballerina Josefina for inspiring me to go through with this image... May you always dance in grace!
