I do like that you don't seem to feel hurried in getting the reader to swallow so much information in the first couple pages. This feels more like the scenic route- a journey to this characters tale. I'm intrigued!

One of the big things I learned between the first and second draft is the importance of letting things breathe. The first draft of the story was I think 30 pages long. I'm just hitting page 30 now and I'm only at about the halfway point!
But I think my main problem was that I was letting the words do all the talking, kind of completely ignoring the fact that comics are a visual medium and the visuals should be doing just as much work at making the point as the words.

Awesome man, thanks! I'm gonna try to get new pages up faily consistently, so hopefully you won't have to wait very long

I like the way you're drawing it here, but have you ever tried using a grey pencil to colour with? I think you could give a lot of weight to your pic without much more work... assuming you're drawing it in ink first... Not sure.

Thanks! I actually do everything digitally. I used to work with tangible media a lot more, but I have issues with committing and I second guess myself so much that the Undo button works wonders for me
That said, I've been meaning to revisit traditional media for some time now, specifically charcoals and oil pastels. I know exactly what you mean with gray pencil though. There's a lot of high-contrast imagery throughout this story, and I think you're definitely right about making it pop a bit more!

Haha, thanks! This is going to sound like a joke, but I'm glad you noticed it because it actually plays a rather significant role later on!
