Turns out J-Dog is kind of a dick.
I tried working with thinner brush sizes on this page. I think it makes things look…I dunno, cleaner? I think I like it, but I can’t tell if it’s one of those things that makes an actual difference, or one of the things I obsess over that no one would ever notice if I didn’t point out…

It's really fun to write the grumpy scenes, mainly because I would feel bad being that grumpy in real life.

J-Dogs forearms in the first panel look too short, I think they need to be extended slightly.

Uhhh, it was supposed to be like that? Like um, in addition to the black eye, he uh...came down with a severe case of forearm-enshortening. It's a real thing.
No you're totally right, Tiny Arms Douglas is what they'll start calling him. I went back and added a little length to it. Hopefully it looks a little less weird now!

I used to work at McDonalds (oh how the years have passed) and the fat for the fry vats is called shortening, I immediately got the image of a person elbows deep in commercial grade cooking fat.
Also, the hole in a human skull where the spinal cord meets the spine is called the foramen magnum, so forearm-enshortening, some strange circumstace of the skull hole shrinking or being coated in grease? Josiah might need to see a doctor, or a scientist, or both. Call NASA.
FYI, don't search for forearm-enshortening, apparently people actually get their forearms shortened. The more you know, and wish you hadn't seen. Damn you Youtube.
And yes, the arm length looks more normal now (at least to me).

It's all pretty strange honestly.
Maybe that's what the inside of Ronald McDonald looks like. Some sort of grease infused monstrosity, devoid of any semblance of humanity. The white is his sickly complexion due to decades of malnutrition and the red is scarring from grese fires. Ok, that's grosser I think. Bloated, burned, pockmarked purveyor of gluttony.

Oh my god, what is it the kids say on tumblr? Headcanon accepted? I've never been one to cast voices for my characters--I don't know why--but that is seriously too perfect.
