The idea of labels is an interesting one to me. There's a weird duality to them because on hand they can help people feel like they're part of something and that they have a support system; but on the other, the pressure to find the one that suits you can stress people out more than it needs to.

Because we're humans, and we're tool users, and one of the tools we use most effectively is language.
We use language to describe our world, our relationship to our world, and our relationships with each other.
Without language, without describing and labeling things, Michael Stipe, a musician and lyricist, wouldn't, i think, have a career.

Very good observation.
Though sometimes the definitions and labels are applied to us and leave us branded as something we do not feel we are, or a label gets hijacked and used in a negative fashion.
Language, as all tools, has the ability to be used constructively and destructively.
