Man, I am so behind the game with this thing. It's been a long time coming. I kept second guessing my choices and changing stuff around.

But if I don't post this now I'm never going to because I'm just going to keep changing it.

Anyway, here's the breakdown:

1. Sonic The Hedgehog
Contrary to what placing this as #1 may imply, I'm not actually much of a gamer. I enjoy videogames, sure, but there aren't many that really immerse me and feel like much more than...well, a game. Sonic is the series that I grew up with, and the games are still capable of giving me that special feeling that I just can't ever seem to describe. So I won't try. Moving on!

2. King Of The Hill
I actually hated King Of The Hill when it first came out because I felt like it was the reason Beavis & Butt-Head got canceled. More recently though, after actually giving it a shot, it's become one of my absolute favorite shows.

3. Lupin III
Too goddamn cool for its own good.

4. Bo Gilliam
I absolutely love his style. He can draw ridiculously cute just as well as ridiculously bad-ass, and he does both amazingly.

5. Dragon Ball Z
Yeah yeah yeah, I know. I wasn't actually going to include this, but the fact that it was the first anime I ever saw and basically the reason I got into writing and drawing seriously meant that it was pretty unreasonable for me to omit. Besides, I do still enjoy it.

6. Brandon Graham
Hands down my favorite American comics creator. In addition to having a gorgeous art style, his stories and character designs are creatively unparalleled.

7. Music
Ah, music. I simply cannot put into words how much it effects everything I do creatively (and very often, even non-creatively). Pictured here is good ol' Sufjan Stevens, cuz he's my "fave".

8. Terrible Action Movies
I'm pretty sure people think I'm trying to be ironic when I tell them that Broken Arrow (pictured) is my favorite movie ever, but I have a deep love for completely over-the-top action and generally try to incorporate it into most of what I do.

9. The Weather
This one is a bit odd. I'm aware of that.

10. Futurama
The perfect balance of humor and heart, when it wants to be.

11. 2D Fighting Games
The character designs, the ridiculous stories, and again, the over-the-top action. Never more prevalent than in the Guilty Gear series (pictured).

12. Archipelago
Easily my favorite webcomic ever. I honestly can't say enough good things about it.

13. Scud
I love Scud for the same reasons I love Brandon Graham, but mixed with my love for over-the-top action.

14. Last Exile
My favorite anime. I love airships, so naturally an anime where the focal point is really something I can get behind.

15. Naruto
Yeah, what of it?

16. Becky Cloonan
Another one of my favorite American comics creators. Her work on Demo is pretty incredible stuff.

17. The Maxx
Just plain awesome. It's quite a shame the MTV cartoon didn't cover the entire comic series.

18. Avatar
I don't want to talk about the movie. The cartoon will always be completely wonderful.
