Description Recently the Ohanzee Hermes organization has been undergoing some difficult decisions and circumstance. As of late, we've had to challenge the idea of family and remind ourselves just what the word and concept of it truly means to each of us on an individual level. A lot of groups - good groups - have faced or been forced into retirement. Unfortunately, or perhaps fortunately as to some it is almost a blessing, family is not something one can escape nor "retire" from. Family is forever.

Family is not a job. It is not a hobby you can like, do, then put down and return to it later if you get bored. It is a lifetime sentence of being there for one another through thick and thin; having one another's back and supporting each other in whatever endeavor the both of you want to do or aspire to do. It is a pledge of allegiance to do what's right and protect what you love until death takes its course and you're forced to watch from a distance, while all keeping your morals and ideals in tact and the very essence of who you are. It's a challenge, one not many are able to handle much less face but that is why we do it together. We never leave one to struggle alone. We are a team. One team, one fight.

We've had our bumps along the way but we've managed six long, tiresome years. We intend to keep going too. Nothing is going to stop nor get in between us from being what we've been since day one, a family.

"Ohana" means family and family means no one gets left behind or forgotten.

This is the official announcement that the Ohanzee Hermes is back in business and strong as ever! Let the games begin and the odds be ever in your favor.

pathetic how you harass the official group called "The avani" for being a copy of you when you own no copywrites to its name and the fact your under the name ohanzee which has nothing to do with the name "AVANI" like there group does btw i found this out from a video on youtube about you guys copying

First, allow me to clarify something you've obviously gotten wrong. We have not nor intend to harass "The Avani." I, being the founder of the Ohanzee Hermes, approached the founder of "The Avani" and asked them politely to change their name and tagging system as it was near identical to ours. To add, there were a couple other aspects inside "The Avani" which resembled our own foundation's. If you'd like screenshots, I can provide them to you. Since my conversation with the founder of "The Avani," and two other Akavari member's, we have not approached nor spoken to the lot; we've taken up observation as we were aware any further communication can and apparently from what you've informed me with your message, taken as harassment. Which, I assure you, was never my intent with the polite request of them switching titles.

In addition, the Ohanzee Hermes: The Avani members and staff are currently aware we have no true copyrighting claim as said laws do not apply to a names in specific unless court action is taken. It is thus we're looking into trademarking the name and its entirety.

I appreciate your concern and passion to bring this topic up but frankly, your fixated attention is not warranted as again, we never harassed the group as you're blatantly blaming us for. But, I must concede, I am baffled how one conversation - one request - has led not only to such a large misunderstanding but need to create a youtube video. I am actually quite intrigued to see this video. Do you mind linking it?

Also, being we've been around since early 2012's, I do believe you've got the copying situation backward.

you didnt nicely ask them u told them if they dont change it when they ARE ALLOWED to use it u would tell mods on them so they asked a mod who said they CAN use the name avani and they CAN use similar situations such as being a family based group the way i see it that is harassment as in to tell them they cannot use something that they CAN

you also kept sitting on one of its members the other day calling her a copy for her simply being a MEMBER of the pack when she moved u went and sat back on her and the founder has also blocked a few of ur members who unblocked themself which is harassment

Before I begin this message, might I point out you seem to know awfully a lot and are quite passionate about a situation when earlier this day you informed me your only connection and understanding about this debacle was from a youtube video. One which has still failed to be linked.

Now, much like I stated in the previous message, there was no instance, at any time, that we specifically informed the founder of "The Avani" we were going to report her to the mods because of her choice to use a mimicking name and tagging system. We informed the founder that because there /were/ other similarities alike aside from just the manner in which she wanted to dub herself, we would need to consolidate with the MODs and ask for a guiding hand on how to not only approach another group which is almost identical to your own but rectify it. As to us, how she reacted and her overall behavior toward the situation, had us contemplating if there was a deeper meaning behind her mere name, tag and admittance similarities than what was being presented. So, as my sister kindly pointed out in her response to you on our groups deviantArt page, we investigated, as any group, member and founder alike would. None of The Ohanzee Hermes: The Avani members threatened her; we advised. I send my condolences if she believes such inquiry that was spurred by the desire to protect six (almost seven) long years of hard work and due diligence, was harassment.

As for unblocking someone who has blocked you, I do not see how that can be classified as harassment.

Harassment by the United States legal site is defined as: "Harassment is governed by state laws, which vary by state, but is generally defined as a course of conduct which annoys, threatens, intimidates, alarms, or puts a person in fear of their safety. Harassment is unwanted, unwelcomed and uninvited behavior that demeans, threatens or offends the victim and results in a hostile environment for the victim. Harassing behavior may include, but is not limited to, epithets, derogatory comments or slurs and lewd propositions, assault, impeding or blocking movement, offensive touching or any physical interference with normal work or movement, and visual insults, such as derogatory posters or cartoons."

We are not giving her unwanted or unwelcomed attention that is threatening or offensive, and it certainly has not resulted in a hostile environment. We are just ensuring we have no limitations when it comes to this matter.

As I made clear earlier, after three of the Avani's Akavari approached her, no further communication was done between that group and ours. It ceased to exist as we heeded their unspoken request to be ignored (which is rudely stated in their group's biography) and reverted to taking up an observation stance in the matter. Tying into what I mentioned above regarding limitations, blocking someone is limiting. What I mean by that is take for instance the following two examples:

Example 1: A conversation is conducted in a game somewhere. A person involved in the conversation has blocked another person involved somewhere in the past. Those two people now cannot hear nor see one another's comments. It can and in most cases, results in the overall parties confusion or doubling opinions and statements that are identical because one person cannot hear the other. It hinders the flow and in extreme cases, disrupts the community involved in the conversation as their left hearing a broken record.

Example 2: A person joins a group. Unbeknownst to them, someone already in the group has the joining person blocked. Much like the example above, those two people now cannot hear nor see one another's comments. The results of the block are almost identical with the addition that now the group both parties associated with have an unwanted hole in their foundation. It leaves room for error and confusion to manifest. Not to mention, the overall effectiveness of the group dramatically decreases.

I personally don't like being blocked and will undo a block for those sole two reasons. I want a clear head and mind going into a conversation and or situation as I would going out. Now that I believe we've beaten that to death, let's move on.

Regarding the instance where someone sat on one of "The Avani's" members and blatantly accused her of copying the original Avani group, from what I understand, the band of Avani who were online mistook the "Avani" member as one of their own. It is customary in our group to dogpile whenever we see a bunch of members online; the "Avani's" case was no different. You can see how two groups under the same name and tagging system are already starting to not only confuse but affect people. As for your claim that we directly accused her of copying, I have no idea what you're speaking of. None of the Avani members would be so childish enough to personally attack another user like that. It's unheard of. If you have a moment, I would greatly appreciate it if you could directly message me the screenshot of this occurrence, as well as that link of that video you so proudly exclaimed a post prior. Thank you.
