My current comic project, "Wildchild", is giving me grey hairs at the moment, with almost ten pages having to be completely discarded due to poor planning and layout. In order to not snap completely, I have taken a little break and decided to finish up some in-between stuff I've been working on.

The next (hopefully better planned) story will have a great deal of the plot set in the city of Irongate, Whereas Charcastle is the overcrowded, decadent, polluted industrial centre of Muran, Irongate is functionally a hub of organised crime.
I can't tell how many of these characters will make an appearance in that story, but they'll be around for other potential stories set in Irongate!

Up front we got Delphina and Gallus Morimonte, who together are the lynchpin keeping organised crime organised. After they essentially took over Irongate, they established a set of rules that they expect the criminal underworld to follow in order to continue operations, resulting in a safer, if no less corrupt, city.
Don't target families, don't target anyone who's "not in", (meaning those unaffiliated with organised crime) and no escalation beyond what the Morimontes deem "acceptable".

Delphina is the one who does the talking most of the time, with Gallus standing back and looking intimidating.
Behind them is Carl Barker, who was supposed to be fair-skinned and blond, but he ended up looking like Askeladd from "Vinland Saga", and I couldn't unsee it. So I made him Natarangean, giving him darker skin and a paler off-white hair colour. He's the Morimonte "fixer", their street-level contact and the only other person they would consider fully reliable.
Below him is another contact, a Kallimakian gang member who goes by "Freebell".
Above her is Hans, the personal chauffeur of the Morimontes. He does other things to that are less than legal.
To his left is Conroy, who was supposed to have a red coat, but he ended up looking like Alucard from "Hellsing", and he will probably get some redesigns to change him further. I'll keep most of him secret, because he will be important in the next story!
Above him is Bella, a wealthy Natarangean socialite and rival of the Morimontes. She also has some huge skeletons in her closet.
Below her to the left is Alba, a spiritualist that few take seriously. She is convinced the Morimonte family is haunted.
Finally, below her, is Missy, the upbeat robotic servant of the Morimontes who adds some much-needed levity to the chronically mirthless family.

I enjoy drawing people, and that was the main reason for doing this. To help me relax and get back in a proper headspace to tackle my "Wildchild"-issues, yeah?
