I randomly started this yesterday just to add to my Warhammer 40k Army series buuuuut. . . I liked it too much XP And since Space Wolves are one of my favs I figure I'd make'em awesome by making a custom own codex cover
I threw all I had in this pic and I'm extremely proud of it, despite a few errors I noticed at the last minute. I can man up for a critique.

This should be the cover if they make a Space Wolves Codex Collector's Edition. I particularly like the winged wolf head on the breastplate. Is that an actual miniature piece, or original concept?

I'm impressed and I can tell you put a lot of effort into this one.
It took me a moment to realize that was his left foot raised up on the snow mound. I first thought you'd drawn that leg much too large compared to the other.
The shading on the axe handle seems a little too dark below his hand, giving it a somewhat bent appearance. That much snow around means a lot of light will be bouncing up.
This is only a minor quibble and perhaps his torso is rotated slightly, but the wolf's head in the center seems to be pointing at a slightly different angle than both the pilot and the twin-wolf emblem beneath it.
This isn't a critique but it would've been an interesting effect to see the snow flakes near that gun flying away from the just-fired muzzle blast - forming a hole with no snow flakes just in front of it. I like the smoke-effect on the gun, by the way.

Actually to tell you the truth the axe handle IS bent. . . >.o I didn't really realize it till now, its not a trick of the eyes.

He's sure been in his fair share of fights- so much battle damage on his armor heh. The axe is probably one of my favorite parts (no, not just cause I like Khorne!)- it looks like it has a bit more of a frosty sheen on it besides the design which makes it cooler...fear the pun. Pretty awesome codex cover...even if it IS for one of the Emperor's lapdogs.

Fantastic job.
I like the snow and the gun smoke. The scratch detail on the Terminator armor is pretty good too.

Man thats another player we lose to the space wolves, nothing against them, but in my area its like everyone plays them ugh. Nice piece though, just if its space wolves it needs more blood and beards

That aside, if your gonna play necrons and you havent started buying pieces, heres some advice: find friends and see if you can buy theirs off of them, necrons are rly expensive since alot are made from metal (lol irony).
