gimp>diffraction pattern>hue and saturation>bump map>whirl and pinch>mask>ripple>gaussian blur> perspective>add background> plasma. done. basically, i made a really nice diffraction pattern(you have to mess around alot with the settings if you want anything cool), and masked off the edges to make it fade out kind of. then i changed the perspective. the background looks bad as pure black, and im too lazy to put stars in, so i added some plasma noise as white. yay. a galaxy.
