Okay, so for my character meme, *PoldalleLovesnare asked about my character Quicksilver! I haven't drawn Quicksilver in awhile so it was a nice treat indeed.

Where the name is from:

Colbi Quicksilver is the male alias of Colbi'Fyoar Ssambra. In the story she takes on the name Quicksilver for her male form because that was what Calix called him. Honestly, I just wasn't very creative with drow names at the time and I wanted him to have pretty hair. Ssambra was a random drow surname I liked, Fyoar just sounded cool and Colbi means "Destruction" ^_^

Random facts about his creation:
a) I was playing way too many online RPG's and really wanted a duessa with the highest duessa ability, to change freely back and forth between male and female. That was the coolest race idea I have ever seen online.
b) She became a drow cause I like drow and I said so and made the male/female alter self a part of fey bloodline instead of being a race.
c) At first Quicksilver was a strong opposition to Calix, then the more I played around with their hatred the more screwed up their story became. I don't even remember how it started now, but I'm betting it was something simple.
d) Quicksilver was such a bad guy at first but now is more or less an anti-hero. After all, Eilistraee is in there, somewhere. SHE is the main of the two and her features always show, thus why I chose to draw Quicksilver between forms in the pic here.
e) I've always wondered why Quicksilver is such an evil SOB as a male and a loving person as a female, and said it was all about the hormones. But since he is Eilistraee's incarnate and now in the pantheon she has absorbed Vhaeraun it makes more sense to have an more evil male form and female good form.

Backstory:

Briefly cause it's a stupidly long story. Colbi was born during a strange period of elven history to a surface circle. Because of her innate ability to change her sex and how she could draw the power of the moon, they quickly figured out that she was Eilistraee's incarnation. This meant the purpose of her birth was to oppose whoever Lolth choose to place on Earth as a champion who in this case was Calix Ssambra. She was on Haera from day one to play our the story of the two gods over again. She used her male form under the alias of "Quicksilver" to get high withing the regards of the human nation Calix was railing on at the time so she could get her hands on him. There she is now remaining as a He. The "Archmage Colbi Quicksilver."
