Description It's like blood on fresh snow,
Something so foul staining something so perfect and pure.
It's like one diseased branch on a majestic, but aging tree,
Eventually the disease will consume it.
It's like a small child being witness to a murder,
A constant affliction of the mind.
You can see it in someone's face,
The signs are always clear.
A smile that never quite meets the eyes,
A laugh that never truly reaches your ears,
Their world is always failing them,
So what's there left to do,
But for them to turn their back?
It isn't something people are taught to understand,
It's the secret kept locked away.
It isn't something you deeply want to embrace,
For fear of it destroying your life.
But this is their life,
This is what they live every day.
The absolute disgust when they see one person.
The loathing of this pathetic soul.
And the hatred that slowly consumes their life.
I didn't ask you to understand,
I didn't ask you for forgiveness when I hurt you.
I didn't even ask for your love.
For how can you love me,
When I hate myself more than anyone else in this world.
