Okay so I'm doing an extra credit project for social studies (We're doing a unit on society and government) so I'm going to try to use my nifty difty context clues and my snazzy freshman psychology skillz to try and figure out...
The Kinnah!
Kinnah society: From other correspondence with you and in clues from the comic (Or at least what's been released) that Kinnah are warrior people, or at the very least a generally violent people. Their disapproval of slavery, the idea that it is worse than death points to an honor based society, where it is better to die than to have no freedom. I believe they may also have a caste system or at the very least, class separation based on what animal features they have. they most likely have a government similar to a feudal system, with many smaller states generally answering to a central leader. Due to their violent, warlike nature, strict government would be needed to keep public order.

Well, first of all, not bad at all!  Your snazzy freshman psych skills are kicking ass thus far.  I've been trying to really limit the information I release on the Kinnah because Vale, for all his big talk, really has no idea about the Kinnah.  He's never even met one.  I figured I'd start making coherent explanations about them when Vale actually learns a thing or two about his heritage (or at least, his heritage such as it is in Valhalla).

But I think I can make a few exceptions.

(By which I mean: you're getting an essay.)

You are essentially correct that the Kinnah are a warrior people, at least right now.  In the past there was a little more nuance than that--but currently, the warlike philosophy continues to dominate.  This is because Valhalla has already made an example of the clans who tried to obey different ideals (like the ascendance cycle, which determines which of the four Kinnah philosophies all the clans are SUPPOSED to be following.  So that's rather defunct).

And yep, all the Kinnah clans are strongly honor-based--but then, the Valhalla Empire also considers itself extremely honorable.  The biggest difference is that the Kinnah version of honor involves the afterlife in a very big, very concrete way, so their version of honor is much more spiritual.

You're also correct about class separation, but that is a conversation that threatens to involve spreadsheets.  Sufficeth to say that as the clans prize different traits, a Kinnah's social standing depends more on what clan they belong to than what their actual animal traits are.  This is important because Kinnah parents don't pass on their own animal features to their children.  For example: if a rabbit Kinnah and a bear Kinnah were to have a child, the kid probably isn't going to have the exact same animal aspect as either parent, and definitely isn't going to be a rabbear.

Vale is actually pretty weird because he, his dad, and his granddad are have a feline aspect.  It's not impossible, but it would be a lot more normal if Vale's were a snake or a moth or something.

The only real discrepancy is with your last point: the central government of the Kinnah, up until this point, was actually incredibly lax.  There was one ruler nominally in charge, but the only reason they'd get involved with anyone's clan but their own would be if the clans needed to unite for a war, or if there was some kind of mass disaster requiring cooperation.  Part of the Kinnah honor code is that a Kinnah should barely ever require leadership.  You only need a king to tell you what to do if you're a fundamentally dishonorable person, basically.

As you might imagine, the war with Valhalla was started by this system fucking up in a massive way.  That, however, I won't spoil just yet.

He's a scrawny, foreign, homeless orphan with a sister to look out for.  He's taught himself a whole cornucopia of manipulation techniques.  Flirting with dudes is small potatoes.

Alas, Blask survives the first bit of the story and shows up again later.  For all her faults, she's durable.

yeah my stories have no villain... not really at least yet, it's already the second book of the story technically and there's still not a clear villain. the closest i've come is deliyah and she's just a snobby bitch who thinks everyone to be below her

Oh, I promise you, Blask is hardly the worst of them.  Endry and Liashe are going to be so much fun to introduce, and that's not even taking into account the people who actually manufactured this conflict in the first place.  Alhess Varjin can go eat a bag of dicks.

Augh, don't even start me on all the books I want to write.  I swear, all my time goes into drawing ridiculous pictures and writing equally ridiculous stories.
My social life is a joke.
