They did. Megatron was one of the better examples, and was really no worse than a G1 Constructicon though.

I like the overall look of this piece, but I think there's too much kibble going on, and also have to agree with the "one leg" comment. That lunatic face is pretty priceless though!

I like the G2 version better because I absolutely hate the mass conversion bullshit used to excuse away the way Megatron, Soundwave, and others could be tiny in one form and huge in another.

if this was excellent before, now it is even better! And yes! G2 color schemes were quite "radical" back then. Some schemes did worked but others did not!
