So I’ve never really talked about the main six or how I feel about them. I ‘m not going to give an entire essay on each character, I’m going to try to keep myself short. This will be about what I dislike about them but next week I’m going to write about what I like (as well as change the Poll). HOWEVER what I write doesn’t necessarily have to be a bad thing AND it doesn’t mean that I dislike them (I like all of them). And above ALL; these are MY opinions, you do not have to think the same.
Twilight Sparkle:
She screams Marry Sue to me (and for me this IS a bad thing). She is perfect and awesome in EVERY WAY. She's so perfect she turned in to an alicorn. She comes across a problem in the beginning of an episode but in the end of it she ALWAYS comes though and becomes perfect again. This makes her hard to relate to and kind of put up “this is how a person should be/this is what a perfect person looks like.”
That is why I like EQ Twilight a bit more because she shows more imperfect sides (such as longing for so much knowledge she nearly destroyed a school and act more awkward).
Rarity:
Everything has to be about fashion (for example EQG: Legend of everfree), I know it’s her passion but there IS more in life. Her serious issue with always having to look fab. BUT this is still traits that I think are good because it’s make her more “human” and relatable. (I know many bugs themselves that she’s overly-dramatic but I LOVE IT)
Rainbow Dash:
She may be loyal but loyalty and good sportsmanship is obviously to separate things. She seems to see no problem with cheating if it means she doesn’t loose, like; Ready to use her wings when RUNING against Apple Jack (when the deal was that she wouldn’t) and changing the sign to get her of track or turn of the console in EQG: Rainbow Rock when Apple Jack was about to win. She sees herself like such a champion and winner yet… REAL champions doesn’t cheat. This bugs the crap out of me but it is still traits that I’m happy is there because they make her imperfect and relatable (I just sometimes becomes “yea you are sooo awesome… b*tch).
Fluttershy:
I can already hear the rage on me even before I’ve said anything….
GROW SOME GOOD DAMN BACKBONES! I understand that a person can be quiet, shy and a total scaredy-cat but with her it’s seriously too far. There comes episodes (like that with Iron-Will) where she in the end learn that it okey to put down ones hooves and not be such a door-mat but then in the next episode she’s back to being the same wimp. And don’t get me started on the dragon episode…. Yes we all have things we are scared of but when you are going thought a place where there is a large risk of avalanche you don’t yell (even if you get scared) risking all your friends lives (if it would’ve been a more serious show someone would have been hurt). To be honest she is probably the one that bugs me the most.
Apple Jack:
I think it's sad that you doesn't get to see so much flaws in her. We have gotten to see how bad lying could be BUT not like the bad side of to much honesty and we have gotten to see a Little of her stubborness yet not much.
Pinkie Pie:
It is okey to be serious about serious things without having to over-goof it. Everything always has to be goofed-form in some sort of way. I know she is there for the comical relief but you can’t be goofy all the F-ing time. Even whne she is serious it has to be in a goofy way.
Spike:
To be honest I don’t have much to say that really bugs me. He has a balance in between good and bad traits. He’s just a little kid that have time grow and evolve.
P.s. I know this is a kids show but I still have the right to have my opinion AND like I wrote above I still likes them all.
