I was kind of into Japanese animation since I was old enough to know what it was, but Digimon was where I truly descended into the dark, dank depths of geekdom.I think I may have over did the incorporation of my own personal big-eyed style a bit, though...

Actually, what REALLY got me into anime was the 1986 feature film Project A-Ko back in my junior year of high school way back in 1991...back when anime videos were $40 for a 60-minute tape of Robotech episodes.
That aside, it's quite an impressive draw of the cast of Digimon Adventure there. In fact, the original Japanese opening theme "Butter-Fly" started playing in my head when I saw this.

I've watched the movie atleast 20 times, literally.
I first had an obsession with it (I had it on like everyday), and then when my brother figured out how awesome it was he would watch it like two times a day. @-@
We lost the VHS though, I'm hoping to buy it again soon xD.

Man, I remember going to see Digimon: The Movie in theaters back in the day.

Personally, I thought that the Japanese version of Digimon: The Movie, which was actually three separate films, was better since it had aLOT of footage that was cut from the American release, that one bit of classical music in which I'm STILL having a hell of a time figuring out what it is and who the composer was behind it...and it also didn't have that God-awful Angela Anaconda short at the beginning.
