Well, I first got the idea from seeing someone on Reddit claiming it was real, but as other redditors pointed out,
even if one of the soldiers didn't get shot it'd still be a massive hindrance to their movement and fighting ability,
and the entire idea that none of the pairs of soldiers would decide that running off together would be a better idea
than going to battle with a massive handicap.Ā

Yeah, I got the entire idea in the first place because I saw somebody on Reddit legitimately say the Soviet one was a real thing,
and the rest of the comic was me struggling to come up with equally implausible stuff!
