Description

Nebulae mark a ubiquitous element on a grand cosmic stage, being involved in both the birth and death of stars, essentially creating life and also taking it. They come in all shapes and sizes, so it wouldn't be surprising to find one resembling a flower blossom. Call it artist's leeway that the filaments and stamens become star clusters but that's how it is

As the title implies, I went with a lily for several reasons. It carries a massive amount of symbolism, quoting Wikipedia : In the Victorian language of flowers, lilies portray love, ardor, and affection for your loved ones, while orange lilies stand for happiness, love, and warmth. Lilies are the flowers most commonly used at funerals, where they symbolically signify that the soul of the deceased has been restored to the state of innocence.

Furthermore, there exists an eponymous track from the "Elfen Lied"-anime (in case you haven't seen it, it's not particularly family-friendly) whose tune has become one of my all-time favorites, I kind of feel personally attached to it...
