My clouds won't work? It fills the whole picture instead of just areas like you showed??

hmm, thats strange. did you make sure that after you selected clouds that you went to Filter>Render>Difference Clouds? and that you put the same layer in screen mode?

do you have a different version of PS? and if the screen mode doesnt work, try lowering the opacity of the layer, or make it opaque
