This is pretty much one of my opinions on the ending of Hunters.I've truthfully had something like this planned since we heard Hunters would end at 25 episodes, and since I've looked up Shinji's rant from the dub of Neon Genesis Evangelion: [link]
Interestingly enough, there does seem to be some similarties to both endings, at least starting with the Super Mario Galaxy like planetoid everyone's standing on. I suppose in this sense we should count ourselves lucky that Tagiru wasn't an unlikable, depressing emo-kid.
I'm so giving Tagiru a Penguinmon XW for his Sparrowmon Type Digimon after this.
Then there's the rant itself, which is pretty hilarious (since it comes from a main character's mouth) and I think reflects somewhat the mood of the Digital Fanbase regarding Hunter's last episode.
I dunno if Toei tried a Gainax Ending on us or what, but I still say Arresterdramon was meant to be an EVA nod.
That said, trippy-open-ending ending it was, I'm not complaining.

I'd still like to see a Xros between Clockmon and Quartzmon (QuartzClockmon?).

I could see it as Clockmon occupying the spot where Quartzmon's "mouth" is. At least that particular take. Account the entire Apocalymon shaped body into it, Clockmon's face could appear where the giant eye does.

.....Are they ontop of Astamon/Quartzmon's true formed head? I just saw a little preview of that look and its quite surprizing, considering a Digimon that hardly spoke turns out to be a monster similiar to a few characters, like a Xamd, that bounty hunter from MIB The Animated Series and a few others im forgeting. Wonder how the full last episode is gonna end and dude this is me asking you an honest opinion but.....

Think i'd have to agree but the Green works too in a strange way, Cant be as easy as thinking up of a Digimon thats sorta like Angewomon, Valkryiemon and Mervamon

Well why not try both color schemes and see what you think. What I mean is one Xros design with the gold and a separate with the green. Gold works sorta the best with a holy theme...

Well no, im just spitballing on how to make a Digimon character I have into something that is like the ones after Rapidmon, but then again just like Zeromaru, most of the well official digimon that are characters...basically female Rapidmon X Angewomon I think would equal one destructively fast hardhitting Xros, but yeah Quartzmon also does look like some sort mech out of that anime

The card game in Japan, Digimon Jintrix is still releasing some sets, and there's Digimon World Re: Digitize for the PSP in Japan. Beyond that, your guess is as good as mine. Sounds like there's an interest to make more anime, but probably not for a while.

Wait, what? Bad ending? Bluuuuuuuuuuuuuuh, I could see that working if it was something that was better set up, but as it stands right now, it's extremely unfitting and just...what.

It really isn't a bad ending in the sense everyone dies or something. It has a strange ending, but one where Tagiru and the others are reunited with their Digimon and continue the Hunt.

Oh, so not all that bad. I heard the whole "Quartzmon takes over everything" and paniced. So I guess it's just a matter of being able to finish the fight...whether we see it or not.

Quartzmon does wind up taking over everything, but his "Planet Quartz" doesn't last long as Tagiru and Arresterdramon manage to save the day using the power of Tai, Davis, Takato, Takuya and Marcus inside the Brave Snatcher.
The fight itself is a combination of D-Baguramon and Lucemon Larva's fights.
