I decided to participate in Day9’s DayKnight 30-day project challenge. For my project, I’ve been working on painting some studies based on photos I took with my Sheikah Slate in-game in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Ultimately, my aim has been to unlearn some of my digital painting bad habits and improve my process and technique. The project officially wrapped up May 4th, but due to a rather rough week topped off by daily headaches and poor sleep I finished this last piece a bit late .  Anywho, now that this project is officially over I plan on recuperating for a few days and then getting back to painting more of these studies - I still have a bunch more Sheikah Slate photos that I want to paint!

I've also been thinking a lot lately about doing portrait commission work, so moving forward I'll probably be alternating between these studies and some portraits to develop a body of portrait work for my portfolio.
