The initial thinking was "Forset Gump has mostly white poster. Terminal has mostly white poster. They both feature Tom Hanks. Let's mash them up and see how it looks."
I don't have a full movie story behind it (yet), but if it ever was a real movie, the "twist" would be that they are are doppelgangers, affecting each others life in both good and bad ways, that, at the end of the movie, they basically switch up their lives, without knowing so, making it some kind of a accidental prince and the pauper story. But, they would never meet each other. Like parallel lines, they always run one next to the other, but never meet. That's where the title comes from.
