“Hey there, brother,” Paragon spoke with her sweet voice. “There’s been a lot of thinking time since you’ve been gone.”

Eventide let off a soft side, but tried to keep his smile going. “Yes, I know… and I am sorry. You know I never mean such things.”

“Of course not brother!” Paragon replied. “I would never imagine you ever meaning it. I just… I just want to really get to know you, you know? You’re different from the little guy I knew when we were young…”

“Hush, sister, no need to bring up of distance pasts and lost times…”

“But time keeps traveling on, brother, and time stops for no one.” Paragon’s eyes were deep with a type of pain that Eventide was not used to. It unsettled him, and felt very horrible on the inside.

The two looked down in a silence as time ticked tiny seconds, trickling itself down through life. Eventide blinked, looking back up to his sister. “Then let’s make up for it now, yes? How about we… go look for some rocks? You can show me that beach you talked about in the letters, alright?”

She nodded slowly, smiling a soft smile towards Eventide. “Yes, that… that would be nice brother. Let’s make up for the lost time…”
