Once in a lifetime, we encounter that one person who fits us like no one else. Once in a lifetime, we make that decision to join together with that person in a lifelong partnership, for better or for worse.

In two days, I have had fun creating this wedding gift for two of the best people I know. I chose to do a couple theme - the man and woman standing affectionately close together with hands intertwined to represent what I wish for my two friends: love and constant closeness; lives intertwined forever.

I chose to use the color green to stand for stability, life, and growth. I also wish these things for the two lovebirds. The purple flowers stand for dignity and grace (and for me ; purple is my favorite color).

For Janice and Fruto - I wish you all the best! <3

This was done in watercolor with a bit of crayon resist and masking. I used strips of masking tape on old transparency film. Then I drew shapes on the film, cut them out, and peeled off the masking tape "stickers". I was a lot of work... but I have never found masking fluid in any of the book/art shops here in Cebu. I might still be looking in the wrong places. (To artists in Cebu: if you know where and how I can find masking fluid in this city, please tell me! T_T and I will be eternally grateful!)

The two people depicted may be elves of fairies, as you please. I didn't really care about that when I was making this. ^o^

~update: the wedding is tomorrow and before I boxed this up, I realized a few more defining details were needed to finish this baby off. So this is the edited and re-uploaded version. Hope you like it, "favers"! ~
