Presumably the 'bit of me' you mentioned is a ref to the title? Heh, do you realise that everyone's gonna think it stands for 'Countess Dracula'? β¦yeah, you probably do! Well you certainly look the part here. I love your stylin' : the hair, the makeup, the fishnet sleeves, the jewelry (especially the butterfly clip). And your trademark elegantly distant expression is also most appropriate for the title.
But as with 'Snow Nymph' the background is the weak point. Layering in something more opulent & luxurious would give a more Countessy atmosphere methinks. In terms of the manipulation, I can see your going for the bleached-out-Toni-Halliday look hereβ¦ but I think maybe you've taken it a tad too far β it would be good to have a bit more skintones / shading & some selective darkening of the eyes /mouth to get that look. Of course, it might just be we've got our monitors calibrated differently, yer never can be quite sure wether other an image displays the way yer intended on someone else's monitor.
Come to think of it, you look a bit like Toni Halliday ( ex singer / songwriter in pioneer darkwave band Curve), especially in this photo. Actually, I don't know if Curve are known in the US⦠if not, I should perhaps point out that the comparison is a compliment : she's rather gorgeous!

I'm not sure whether your being serious or sarcastic there⦠but no, I'm not "better"⦠we're both PS novices at the mo, so we're both pretty much on the same page, I reckon. I daresay you could teach me as many tricks as I could teach you⦠and the opportunity for such comparing notes / pooling knowledge⦠is part of the reason I joined this community in the first place. Just the other day someone noted me some really useful & detailed PS tips⦠altho' I can't really return the favour directly 'cos she's waaaay ahead of me in such things! Actually, as you like faeries you might want to check out these devs of hers, which are awesome!

Dude, I'd be honoured & delighted to do a manipulation using one of your photos. I've seen a number of such collaborations on DA, but I've never been involved in such a thing before β so that would be PDK! *ponders* I think I'd go for 'Cemetery Grrrrrl'. Rather than using the using the online file, it'd be better if you could email me an uncompressed JPEG copy of the original to work from; one that isβ¦
