In this journal, I'll answer questions that I often get asked by people. If your question appears here, please do not directly ask me the question unless you want further explanation! (I might update this journal once in a while.)
Can I use your artworks? (For tracing, colouring, reference, wallpaper, profile picture, printing, posting on external websites, etc)
- Yes, but you will need to contact me first via Notes or as a comment on the deviation. You will also need to credit me by mentioning 'BluuKiss'. Even if the drawing itself has my signature/name, inform me first anyways.
- Please note that I constantly keep track of messages and Notes from people who ask for permission so that I can verify when necessary.
Are you open for commission?
- Find all the commission ordering info here! Link to Google Form
Do you do free art requests or art trades?
- Nope
Do you accept PayPal payment for commissions?
- Yes
What programs and hardware do you use for digital art?
- Currently, I use Photoshop CC, Paint Tool SAI, a custom built PC and Wacom Intuos Tablet.
When did you start drawing?
- Well, from as young as 3 or 4 years old, I guess. I was a kid who couldn't stop drawing; I've broken many magnetic drawing boards.
How did you learn to draw?
- Practising and constantly drawing for many, many years. Open-mindedness, discipline, passion, hobby, constantly looking for inspiration and trying my best to be open to criticism so that I know what I can improve on.
Can you teach me how to draw?
- Sorry, but no. I'm not trained to teach people how to draw. I can only give some advice (which even then, I don't think people should rely on 100%) My advice are just opinions.
- And also, I believe that drawing can't really exactly be taught. The fundamentals can be taught to you but if you wanna get good at drawing, you need to keep practising on your own and hone your skills.
- Getting good at drawing is like leveling up your character. You need to gain a lot of experience over time in order to level up.
Do you have any good tips for drawing?
- If you want to see significant improvement in your drawings, it will take months, or even years depending on your dedication and discipline. Even if you want to improve in a particular area or technique, you need to have patience, be open-minded and not be afraid to make mistakes. Just because you don't see improvements immediately doesn't mean you aren't progressing, just keep practising regularly, and recognise and improve from your mistakes.
When I draw characters, I usually start off with a light sketch using basic shapes. Simplify your character into simple shapes first before you add in the details afterwards.
Make sure you understand drawing fundamentals very well. It's totally fine to start off by drawing basic shapes and objects and then progressing to more challenging stuff.
Though tracing drawings can help you early on if you're a beginner, I believe that it is not a healthy habit to have in the long term. Eventually you need to be able to draw things through observation, not tracing.
Do not be discouraged by comparing your drawings with other people's artworks that look better. Everyone starts off somewhere. Every professional was once a beginner. If drawing was an easy task, everyone would be doing it. The beginning of drawing will have tons of struggles but if you triumph through the adversity, you'll eventually find doing certain things easier and you'll see better results.

That's pretty weird that you don't except Money, but it's your choice and I'll except it.
