"Though inside I feel like breaking,
With everything I've got
My troubled heart is shaking, shaking...
I'm afraid that it might stop

Some have told me of my weakness,
How I will never be enough...
Words cut through me, I am wingless
Why my path must be so rough?

Always gave away too much,
Not wanting back what has been given
It's what stabbed me on my watch,
Taken for granted, yet not to be forgiven...

The bitter feeling of mistreat, soaking on my pounding chest
All they've ever seen was wit... Well, what about the rest?

Under the impression of a hider, I cannot be someone else
Changing to become another, just more masks they'd have to guess...

But I want to... Want to show so badly,
How mighty I could really be
That I am brave, and I'd fight so proudly
I'd be - who I'm meant to be...

If only it were all so simple, for those answers to be shown
Still lost in my own temple - of all my dreams which have been thrown...

Aching towards the soul's end... When hopeful dreams return
A misfortune they've been stolen... Guess they're easily set to burn

In the moments of striking sorrows
I'm unsure of what to do
I seek help, some light to borrow
That's the only thing I knew...

Still, fears of old cycles repeating - persist
Walking further, from what isn't mine...
Years later, hanging by a thread to exist
I won't bother. May it find me this time..."

Took me only a few months to finally bring out this idea onto canvas... As well as a few separate pages, since I had a matching poem written, to go with the illustration. 😅 Hope you enjoy the idea of an old, tinted photograph and letters of concealed emotions~ 🦋🎭🌹
