Much belated edit: realized a few years after the fact that Ashley's a bit lighter then she should be here, skin tone wise. In fairness to Maverick, they were one of the first persons to draw Ashley and its not like I still (as of 2021) have access to a properly done up reference sheet for my characters. Point is, darkened Ashley but not faulting Maverick here in how Ashley originally turned out.
