Nothing too drastic with the inks here. As usual, I did most of this with the brush pen, and varied the weight of the lines to try and suggest some sense of depth. It's ended up being pretty subtle on Hera, but given that there's not too much of a harsh difference between the dark and the light areas, I don't think that's much of an issue. Again, as usual, I've used the fine liners to add in the fine details, like some of the stitching on her outfit and the more intricate parts of her goggles. I also decided to use the brush pen to add in some areas of hatching to fade out some of the folds in the clothes as well as create some light shadows, and I think that these have worked without being too overwhelming. I did all of the background elements with the fine liners, though obviously some lines are much bulkier than others. I originally intended to give each of the boxes a single pass with the heaviest fine liner I own, but as I was doing this I managed to jog my hand and have an odd dip on the first line. To cover this, I adjusted my ruler a little bit and added in a second stretch of the fine liner. It's resulted in a bit of a thicker line than I'd like, but it doesn't take anything away from the picture, so I'm not too fussed. I left the Starbird and the markings on her Lekku without any inks, as I feel that they're going to look better if they're done with just the markers. So yeah, a pretty simple middle step for this picture, but I think it's coming along well on this one.
