I have wanted to do one of these for some time, so I thought I'd chuck this basic walkthrough together. This is one example of the process in which I draw and colour my characters.
I have always found these walkthroughs very interesting and I have learned quite a lot from studying ones that other people have posted. I hope that this can help some of you out there to improve your skills!! Enjoy!

very nice! Been looking for something detailing clean ps art. What is your lineart method-pen or freehand?

Thanks! I have recently started doing freehand with the brush tool in Photoshop to draw the final lines. I also clean up the edges with the eraser tool. My image is usually about 5000 x 5000 pixels and 300dpi so most of the messiness tends not to show up when you scale it down.

I used the pen tool for a few earlier pictures such as [link] and although i liked how the finished product looked it seemed to take longer for me, and didn't really feel like i was drawing the picture anymore...
