Description
This art piece was inspired by a large twisted tree that resides at the corner of Annette St, here in Toronto. This tree is so special that everytime i walk by it i have to stop and look up and stare at it for a while. I love this tree so much that i felt i had to create a drawing based on it. I called it Glowing Roots because i find that tree roots are as interesting as the tree and branches themselves. Especially when roots protrude through the ground and show themselves. The tree that inspired me has big roots sticking out as if they wanted to take over the whole street corner. I imagined the roots glowing, i guess i'm fascinated by the idea of seeing glowing roots, i think it would be very beautiful.
This detailed drawing was made with pencil crayons. It took me forever to finish as it actually holds a lot of detail. The dimensions are 15" by 9".
