Description Bionicle made a famous alphabet for the Matoran language, but never got around to it for the Agori language. This is my attempt to do so, based on the symbol for the Glatorian Arena, here: biosector01.com/wiki/images/b/…

Note: Numbers are easily discerned from letters in this system, because all numbers have the horizontal dash above the circle, and all letters lack that dash. Each number can be understood by counting the additions after the over-dash (just a circle and overdash means zero). Plus I added some special "multiple zero" characters, which could save space for big, rounded numbers.

Besides just liking the idea of using the symbol, I had noticed there are three tall oval shapes on a map held by Kirbold in this image: biosector01.com/wiki/images/1/…

I reasoned that this stands for numbers or letters, so they must be tall and narrow. (Not necessarily, but it works.) Then, I noticed a statement on biosector01's Languages page that the Agori letters were similar in some ways to Matoran, so that Bomonga was able to translate it at one point. Matoran letters are of course based on English letters. So, I used a mix of English and Matoran patterns, whatever was closest for each one to fit into this system. Voila. (Well, I sketched out a bunch of different alternatives on paper first, but ended up liking this best.)

This needs to be made into a font Could you do that bonesiii? I could also try and do it. Maybe with the help of Outofgloom.

Very interesting but also very detailed. Doesn't look like it evolved naturally (it's far easier to track the evolution of Earth languages), but who knows if the Agori even developed that way? I wonder if there are derivatives like for those of the Skrall, Bone Hunter or Sand Tribe peoples.

I think it was stated somewhere that the Bone Hunters have a special written language or code or something like that. Gresh at one point figured out there had to be a traitor because he found details from one of the villages written in normal Agori in the possession of a Bone Hunter and thinks about how strange it is that it wasn't in the Bone Hunter's normal writing. As for the others, no idea, but I wouldn't be surprised.

Thanks for the info! I thought I was an expert at the Bionicle lore but not so much in 2009 cuz I couldn't get any of the books.
