Description
EXBB-01 - Imperial Pod Racer...."Gone are the scratch built racers of yesteryear. Fresh from the factory floor, the new Imperial built EXBB pod is the next generation in Pod racing...."
It's basically styled (loosely) around the shape of a stormtrooper helmet....

I have mixed feelings about this racer, sure the detail and style is awe inspiring, and i could not have done anything like this myself (beacause i dont have the tools!), but it does not look imperial to me, more republican or simply comercialy built. this is due to its neat flowing shape and clean, shiny metal exterier. imperial vehicles are a dark mat grey colour, angular and mean. all the same it looks great.
Decide who it was built for
Style it to suite side
and please put it in its element, on a race track with dirt and damage and I would love it, would want to make it my wallpaper!

I'd love to see this one in action and getting all muddy and filthy - even though the shininess looks great

WOW!!! This is what I've been dreaming for. I guess Darth Vader would get nostalgic if he saw this.
Btw, why is there a word "needle" at the bottom right corner?

That's truly a wonderfully made model and a nicely clean render And yeah, the stromtrooper shape and style comes across, I really like the look here
I like in particular how you combined glass, plastic and metal materials. however, one suggestions: you should really place this model in some kind of environment. even a simple horizon line would do a good job, but some kind of natural environment, or even factory hall, as you said in the description, that allows for some nice reflections and a sense of scale, that would be great
Also, I find the metal wires that connect the machines to the cockpit a tad bit thin, or weak, for that matter. I'd maybe strengthen them a slight bit, or add some kind of bridge between the two wires, that adds to the stability.
but other than that, beautiful work, congrats on the DD!

Fantastic piece of work. I can definitely see the Stormtrooper influences - subtle, but not too subtle or too overdone. Nice job of keeping the light pattern consistent on the fuselage.. Beuatifully done. I got to thinking - someone mentionned that this might be something Vader drives - I'd like to see you create one actually based upon Vader himself. Black...menacing...just like the Sith Lord.
This is just a fantastic piece of work though. So well done. Kudos to you.
