Description
A windswept style bonsai.Tree: Juniper procumbens (scuse my latin)
Age: Approx 3 Years
Shaped: 2005
This is just a baby tree and only shaped within the last year, I'll be interested to see how he turns out once his trunk and branches have thickened up and pads have bushed up a little bit. Has a bit of potential.
For all the photographers out there, I apologise profusely for the background (or lack of) in this photo. I'm gonna work on getting some photo's with a nice even background in a nice neutral tone.

I like it. I also think it has potential. I like ya last one better, but this one is still good (don't get me wrong). Kinda.. more classical in shape.

thanks Duckman... I think a bit of photography skill would help a lot too...
there are very few good photo's of bonsai around... they're all soooo boring... google some and see for yourself...
maybe someday i'll master the art of capturing the true spirit of bonsai in photo?

You know I don't mind helping out mate... I am just a lazy fat old bugga, so you will have to come to me!
What appeals to me about Bonsai is that there is as much art in shaping the tree as there is in doing a base - in fact I suspect a bonsai only looks good with a fabulous base. That really tickles me arty side.

It's true actually. I haven't been doing this long enough to know all the details, but bonsai masters have guidelines for everything. If you making a certain style tree, then you need to have a certain style pot. The branches go in a certain order etc...
It's all quite involved... maybe I should go make a new one today...?
