An illustration done for the local art-prompt group AbstrAction Art, for the prompts 'Serpent''Tribal' & 'Gradient'. It depicts three subtly female (implied through clothing color choice, make up, and tapering hands and feet) anthro snakes, gathered as though squatting in an alley and making eye contact with an interloper, all wearing different jerseys from the stint of the now defunct Columbus, Georgia hockey team the Cottonmouths, and representing key man-killing snakes of the Americas. Those are, from left to right, the diamondback rattlesnake, the yellow anaconda (strength possible, motivation improbable), and the eyelash viper (mild venom, but deadly in their natural habitat far from hospitals). They were painted in reverse like animation cells with paint pens, sharpies, and a gradient of spray paint as their moody backdrop.
