Class: Sadow Class Heavy Cruiser
Manufacturer: Jaemus Fleet Systems
Affiliation: Sith Empire
The Sadow Class Heavy Cruiser is one of the Sith Empire's most versatile vessels. These cruisers are aesthetically similar to the old Galactic Empire's Vindicator Class Heavy Cruisers but the Sadow Class fields a drastically different internal layout as well as a vast array of technological differences and advancements.
One of the things that makes the Sadow Class unique and especially deadly is its modular weapons and equipment loadout slots. There are hardly any two Sadow Class vessels that are exactly alike in terms of equipment. Some are equipped with missile batteries, turbolaser batteries, dedicated hangar space, tractor beams, advanced scanning and sensor equipment, communications arrays, etcetera. New Republic Tactical Analysts have noted that the Sith Empire has taken a modular approach to many of their front-line vehicles and vessels.
New Republic Admirals have grown wary of these cruisers as each one has to be scanned individually in order to assess how big of a threat each one is. It's not uncommon for some of these cruisers to be used as large fireships and sent on kamikaze runs with enemy cruisers, using their tractor beams to perform a maneuver known as a Despot's Demise in which they pull enemy ships in close in the hopes that they'll be caught in the resulting explosion when the ship explodes.
Sometimes the Sadow Class is lightly armed and utilized as smaller transport vessels, transporting troops and vehicles planetside to assist in planetary invasions and attacks. The modular nature of the Sadow Class makes it a smaller scale version of the Sion Class Assault Ship which can serve in a myriad of different roles depending on their loadouts.
Although the Sith Empire still uses the old Galactic Empire's Immobilizer Cruisers as Interdictor ships, most of the Interdictor duties have been taken over by gravity well equipped Sadows. An "Interdictor Sadow" is almost visibly indistinguishable from an Immobilizer but has the potential to be twice as deadly. One documented incident recorded by a New Republic patrol group reported running into an Interdictor Sadow, sitting alone on the borders of Republic and Sith Space. The patrol group, consisting of only an old Dreadnaught and two CR-90 Corvettes, assumed the Sadow to be an easy kill until they came under fire from the Sadow's mounted proton torpedoes and missile launchers. The Dreadnaught and one of the corvettes were destroyed in a matter of minutes before the other corvette escaped on its faster sublight drives. The Interdictor Sadow was forced to flee when two squadrons of New Republic fighters arrived in response to the distress call from the patrol group as it was not armed with any anti-fighter defenses, not even escort fighters.
In keeping with the Sith Empire's naming conventions for their capital ships, the Sadow Class Heavy Cruiser is named after a Sith Lord, in this case, the Sith Lord Naga Sadow.

How big is the Sith Empire in your story? Also, if you want an idea for what Darth Sheelal should look like, try Xalek from SWTOR.

I kinda keep it nebulous but for the most part they control several outer rim and mid-rim worlds. They technically have less ground than the Republic but they've recently, as of the season 2 finale, made a sort of spearhead push into the mid-rim, attempting to cut a swath straight through to the core worlds. Whether they'll attack Coruscant again is almost a given but hard to say.
As for Sheelal, I had considered Xalek but I don't play TOR and have no desire to start.

Also, might I suggest using a Terminus-class frigate as the basis of a quote "Ragnos" class corvette? Also, it would be a bit nice if we knew more about these ships armaments, starfighter and ground troop complements, and crew size.

Regarding the finer details of things like the armaments and such...yeah, too lazy, not happening.
As for the Terminus I probably won't use that either. I would like to use a ship referencing Marka Ragnos, I just haven't found a ship I like yet to assign that title to it.
