Description
After seeing the movie REDLINE and watching an LP of Bayonetta gave me a burst of inspiration, that made this to play around with ideas. Not perfect but I think I'm on to something.Among my favorite things in the drawing is Alicia's weapon which is based off the Ordnance Research SSP-91 hunting pistol with the metal engraving based off a Browning Auto-5. I also gave the overall shape of the gun a very boxy look to give it look distinct and appear larger.

This drawing with bad proportions was an experimental piece to push several ideas floating around my mind.
Much of overall style was meant to be vague and from unspecified time period anywhere from the 1940s-1980s. "Rebellious" kept floating in my head from the oversized windbreaker/puffer coat and large rings (which actually has an in-story reason why she wears them)
In all the rings they contain artificial diamonds which stores a vast amount of data that is transmitted through the metal and into the body that allows the wearer to aid in their performance certain skills and trade, It doesn't downloaded the information instantly, but is more like a suggestion that allows the wearer to think more clearly. It's based off the idea of artificial diamonds being used in quantum computing and is more of reference to the movie Zardoz. I also like the idea of slipping on a storage device as it seems more simple then sticking a cord into your head and its looks more pimp.
Then the hair style and pants came from Greaser and Teddy Girls of the 1950s to Beatle Boots. Then there are elements of chic from the white gloves to the tie and sweater. The scarf is more of a personal detail for the character as it reminds her of someone she cared about.
