The two have seen the other naked many times before, but the first time Tadashi takes in the way Alice looks exposed is after he’s cleared from the hospital. He notices the way her hips curve, how her muscles stand out and how scattered her scars are.
This has got to be the first comic where I’ve drawn Tadashi’s missing limbs from the fire. For those who may not know, in Upgrades, Tadashi’s leg is severed when a support beam falls on him during the fire at the showcase. He then loses his pinkie and ring finger to gangere during his coma, as well as many burns. When he wakes up, he does get a fair amount of skin graphing done, unable to cope with both the loss of his leg and usage of his left hand on top of the scarring.
here’s a little fun fact: Tadashi and Alice share PJs, being similar in pant size. Alice generally takes the pants (always goes nude on top), while Tadashi gets the top(either wears his boxers or goes nude). Since they don’t sleep with their prosthetics on, having empty sleeves flap around in their sleep bugs them.
