Description
This was my final project in grade twelve. It is the first of two drawings I made. The assignment was to pick a theme and a "mentor" artist and create several pieces of art.

The theme is the contrast between reality (the real world) and surreality (the dream world). I chose to represent the real as an evil place and the surreal as a happy (if not nonsensical) place.

I chose two artist to imitate two artists instead of one. Jhonen Vasquez influenced my depiction of the real world and Tim Burton influenced my depiction of the surreal world.
