History

Family: Y'ALL DEAD probably

The day this Bruxish was born was like any other- just another colorful fish in the tank. He wasn't exactly anything outstanding- one of the smaller newborn fish, he was just another addition to the tank. There was around 10 or 15 of the hypnotic fish in the tank, it was hard to tell with the blur of colors they all were, and thats where their 'trainer' decided to stop. As one might expect- they weren't shiny breeding or trying to get something fit for battle- but rather the alolan trainer planned to illegally release their collection of Bruxish around other regions.

They let their obsessive nature over the pokemon (and likely some other fish pokemon as well) get the better of them, to the point they were so focused on spreading the species they never considered the health risks with releasing this warm water pokemon into the much colder Kalos waters, even if they tried in the far warmer chunks of the region.

Five Bruxish were released into the Kalos waters, all of them a fairly low level and clearly not prepared to be defending themselves in the wild, let alone in an unknown environment. Thus, the majority of them died off fairly quickly- but one from that bunch just so happened to get lucky. Approaching a boat in hopes of finding some kind of familiarity, who would later be known as Rorric was snagged by a fishing line n pulled into a boat. Before he'd have time to freak out and attempt a battle though, a strange device was slapped onto the fish by the man driving the boat. Dittech-- something? The strangers words only briefly ran threw his mind before he was immediately taken aback by all the new feelings around him...

Hands? Feet? Tall? H-human... None of it made sense, but mid panic the stranger managed to grab the fish's attention and explain what was happening. All of it sounded... bizarre to him, but at this point he wasn't really one to turn down something that was going to keep him alive down after watching his fellow Bruxish die in the far colder and more hostile waters. There was also an 'organization' mentioned, something called Apellon Corporation. The man who had fished him up was a member in need of some muscle, and was willing to show the confused fish the ropes of surviving among humans, and pay him in exchange for hard work. Although intimidated by all the new things being thrown his way, he agreed to both the help and the work.

The next year was a hassle, human life was far more stressful than just living in a tank. Fortunately, being around a lot of other Mon in the same situation as him was comforting, the Apellon Corporation providing a form of comfort for him- even if the work was stressful and at times straining. He also had a home with other Apellon members for awhile until he could scrounge up enough money to get his own place. And eventually, that day came, even if it took awhile. Rorric only had enough for something cheap at the time, an old one bedroom apartment in Lumiose would have to do. Even after the move, he continued to work for Apellon full time until he could get his own more suited job on his own.

Eventually Rorric lucked out and met another Mon within Apellon looking for employees for his shop, not being put off by his lack of experience in a more down to earth job. He began working as a Jeweler, only selling for his employer, though- but finding himself fascinated and wanting to learn more, often spending extra time with his employer after work when he can to learn a thing or two about making jewelry.

Generally a friendly guy, Rorric has no problem going out of his way to meet new people and generally is very open to giving anyone a chance despite what he might know abut them at the time. This is both a good and bad thing- it makes him approachable but also highlights his poor judge of character, more times than not, not taking peoples appearances or mannerisms into account when approaching. He is a very mannered fish though and it is rare for him to try to pick fights or really get involved in anything that could really cause harm to himself. Its easy to intimidate him threw words, though actions (unless clearly aggressive) tend to go over his head. Passive and rather nervous, Rorric does his best to avoid any kind of conflict and will quickly back out of any arguments or admit someone else's right despite his beliefs, especially if he feels he'll get hurt if he continues- though he is the kind of person to complain about you behind your back.

Knowing Rorric personally and getting close to him is a double edged sword- he comes off as very submissive and open, but tends to have issues with becoming attached to people. Its hard to see on the outside, but he has bad jealousy issues, and will do subtle, and often petty things to separate his close ones from people he doesn't really like- though normally doing it as quietly as he can. Hes obsessive with other things as well- cleaning, collecting, work. These aren't always a bad thing but they do clearly ware on him and he tends to not take care of himself when he ends up delving too much into one of the three.

Ambitious, Rorric dreams big and enjoys the finer things in life- he always feels the need to go bigger, more colorful, more expensive- and though he does his best to do it in moderation, at times he can clearly go overboard with what he can get at the time. Despite his extravagant wishes and at times life style, Rorric is a very modest person and tends not to mention his own achievements and so on unless asked, his goals are purely for himself and he never really feels the need to flaunt them. Finally, this mans curiosity may just be the death of him- although it helps him branch out more and learn new things, it can also get him into deep shit if hes not careful. Is easy to convince Rorric to do something he shouldn't by playing on his curiously... His curiosity usually overrides his fear of getting hurt.
