I will admit I am a little unsure where you are coming from, here.

Are you just disgruntled by the way that the Homestuck fandom does, admittedly, besmirch everything we touch? Or do you actually want an explanation of Homestuck, Alternian trolls, and the thematic significance of candy corn in the works of Andrew Hussie?

Just noting that the horns of every single horned Homestuck character looks like candy corn to me.
Whether that's intentional or not is actually irrelevant to me - I just think it's funny.
