One of the best vantages of shooting with a full frame mirrorless camera like my Panasonic Lumix S1 is that you can adapt virtually ANY lens.
Actually I have never bought a single native L-mount lens for this camera, from any of the 3 members of the alliance. I wanted to test this concept during one of my last shooting with my favourite model Martina, and I decided to bring with me only the “Forgotten Lenses”: those lenses I had never (or rarely) used before during my nude shootings. Possibly because I had one or more glamorous glass to represent that particular focal length; or because it was a very old and radioactive lens I better use as little as possible; or for other strange reasons, these incredible equipment was always left behind.
Until this shooting.

I took a big risk by trying this stunt with an expensive PRO model and in one of the best location I’ve worked in, but I was NOT disappointed. It was a real blast to realise how good these neglected lenses could perform and I’m ashamed I never considered using them before.
I’m pretty sure in the future I will still pick up the more glamorous glass, but I will still have great respect for the neglected gems I’m leaving behind. One day, the right day, I will give these lenses another chance to shine!
