Description Here's a study of some oldschool Belgian fishermen I recently did. Finally getting the hang of this thing called Mixer Brush, a second attempt, and it's still sort of a mystery. Who are you Adobe, is this real paint?

ย Why the hell don't you produce more works like this one? As well as Richard P.Bonington!

I'm curious now- what sort of fishing technique is this done with horse and net on a beach?

Beautiful work by the way. Keep it up!

Yeah it's a Belgian tradition, I'm not an expert, but I'm assuming it's basically running around the shallow end of the ocean with a net behind a horse Thanks for the kind words!

Beautiful brushwork. It's like one of those old classic paintings.

The mixer brush you mean? Yeah I found out that using it with a brush that has a little bit of spacing, and setting it to dry load, really makes it feel gritty and oil painterly. It's good to experiment a bit with it, I've also found that using the same brush over an entire painting makes it quickly feel dull and even, so it's good to switch between different tools to get those nice differences in edges and textures!
