Thanks. The fur look was a simple technique I picked up from a freelance Disney artist (who performs this technique way better than I do) He simply uses the smudge tool in Photoshop to push and pull the color to look like fur.

It all comes down to practice really. Lots of great Photoshop tutorials out there too that give wonderful step by step tips....but practice is the key.
