Jack of BioShock versus the Courier of Fallout: New Vegas. Two faceless outsiders suddenly thrust into the middle of faction struggles that end up becoming a singular force that tips the balance in whichever direction they end up choosing.Jack Wynand, aka Ace in the Hole, was on a trans-Atlantic flight to England when he crashed and was thrust into the middle of Rapture's civil war. He's equipped with a Wrench; Pistol, with Standard, Armor-Piercing and Antipersonnel Rounds; Machine Gun, with Standard, Armor-Piercing and Antipersonnel Rounds; Shotgun, with 00, Electric and Exploding Buck; Grenade Launcher, with Frag Grenades, Proximity Mines, and Heat-Seeking RPGs; Chemical Thrower, with Napalm, Liquid Nitrogen, and Electric Gel; and Crossbow, with Steel-Tip, Incendiary and Trap Bolts; all of which can be fully upgraded at Power to the People vending machines. Jack can also equip up to 18 Gene Tonics, which include up to 6 Combat Tonics, which augment his offensive and defensive capabilities; 6 Engineering Tonics, which improve his hacking and interaction abilities with Rapture's machines; and 6 Physical Tonics, which increase his ability to replenish Health and EVE, boost his movement and Wrench-swinging speed, and can grant invisibility when standing still. He can also use a variety of "super powers" via Plasmids, such as Cyclone Trap, Electro Bolt, Enrage, Hypnotize Big Daddy, Incinerate!, Insect Swarm, Security Bullseye, Sonic Boom, Target Dummy, Telekinesis, and Winter Blast. However, Jack requires a regular supply of EVE to use his Plasmids.
Courier Six was delivering a platinum chip to New Vegas when they were ambushed, shot in the head, and then thrust into the middle of a looming war over the Mojave Wasteland. They're equipped with a wide variety of gloves and gauntlets to enhance their Unarmed attacks; Blunt, Bladed, and Thrown Melee weapons; Ballistic Pistols, Rifles, SMGs, Shotguns and Heavy Weapons; Energy Pistols, Rifles and Heavy Weapons; and Thrown, Placed and Projectile Explosives. The Courier can also equip a wide variety of Armors, from Light to Medium to Heavy, including such exotics as the Gecko-backed Leather Armor, which increases their Fire, Poison and Radiation Resistance; and the Stealth Suit Mk II, which increases their Sneak, movement speed and Perception and has an automated personality that dispenses Stimpaks and Med-X automatically when needed; and can also equip Power Armor, which increases their Strength and Radiation Resistance at the cost of some Agility, though the Scorched Sierra Power Armor has no Agility cost, and also increases their Health and Fire Resistance along with Strength. They can also use cybernetic implants that have replaced their Brain, Heart and Spine with tech from the Big MT, making their Head and Torso immune to crippling, immune to Poison, increased Strength and Damage Threshold, and increased Healing; other Big MT implants that increase their crouched movement speed, and increased Health and Action Point replenishment through consuming Food; and implants from the New Vegas Medical Clinic that will boost one of their SPECIAL stats, as well as either the Sub-Dermal Armor, to increase their Damage Threshold; or the Monocyte Breeder, which regenerates 1 Health every 10 seconds. The Courier is also equipped with a Pip-Boy 3000, which tracks their Health condition, and has a built-in radio, Geiger counter, Pip-Boy Light, and the Vault-Tec Assisted Targeting System (VATS) to effectively freeze combat to target specific enemies and their limbs by using Action Points.
