I say this again and again but, I am not a photographer.However, I do know beauty when I see it.
I remember when this happened while I was touring Italy, most of the people on the bus were asleep, we were leaving Florence, I beleive, and heading north. When I looked outside, I realised I was seeing something that I've seen portrayed a million times, yet had never seen myself.
I don't care what anyone else thinks about this photo, I took the picture for me.

Anywho Beeski, that's a nice shot. I saw it on your desktop and thought that a pro had taken it, really. Now that I look at it, though, it has this nice amateur look that gives it some charm.

Each one of those pictures that are similar always has something different about them.
For instance, in the one that you have portrayed (which is beautiful), you can barely make out the landscape at the bottom but as it goes more towards the top, you see the rolling hills being hit by the light. And this one almost seems a little tragic.. at least to me, that is.
It's fantastic. Wish I was there to see it.

To me, this isn't an overdone image at all. You see streaming sunlight lots of places, yes. But that's not all it is. I've seen very few photos that look like the light is breaking through complete darkness like it does here.
My favorite part is the way the light hits the layers of hills you see when you full view. And the silhouette of that little house. Gorgeous.

Hey, don't kid yourself! Even if its something thats been done over, its still a subject that can be only seen in certain ways.
I think that you did lovely with the picture, even if it might have been a snapshot. The glowing from between the clouds is very pretty!! THe light of day awakens.
