I made this for funsies. I wanted to draw ruffles. ALL the ruffles. The outfits I have planned for this character keep multiplying. I thought doing this would help get it all out of my system. (Idk if that’s what actually happened though..)
Had to stretch my brain to get the pirate ruffles right. I didn’t allow myself to do a couple sketch layers before jumping to do the final lines and it went terribly lol.
Do I enjoy drawing fabric folds? Not particularly. This did end up being a good drawing exercise though, even if it did take wayyy too long. It was just too much fun gathering refs and then I convinced myself I had to draw them all.
