Yhea I'll do a male "version" XD of this. And yes, I kind of watched some old photos ( around 1900s) about japanese people. In my recent designs I always used some elements from traditional japanese fashion. Of course I reinterpreted these elements, and built them into my style. ( like the ornamental rope knot-decorations above the obi-like belts they usually wear. I often use to draw the characters wearing tabi, and the footwear is inspired by japanese waraji, or geta)

Thanks for the info. I just love the far eastern cultures and really hope to go traveling through Japan, Vietnam, etc one day. I look forward to seeing the male version.

I love Japanese culture too. Especially their traditional woodblock prints.
